We’ll be focusing on leadership development, deepening our theories of change, and to share skills on training and facilitating.
PeaceUp’s Climate Justice Bold School is an integral part of our Communities of Resilient Resistance (CoRR) model, which in turn is based on two principles: our willingness to experiment and our commitment to supporting people who take risks. We recognize that the movement needs bold innovation, and that only real grassroots efforts will break new ground. We also recognize that this movement is not about making whatever compromises are necessary to win a short-term victory in a small battle. Winning will take a radical paradigm shift, away from centralized global power and founded in an evolution of values and human consciousness.
JUST AROUND THE CORNER: 5th Session of our Bold School.
Here are the goals we’ve laid out for this training:
1. Participants will learn the basics of experiential education methodology and explore how it is rooted in an analysis of social change.
2. Participants will build confidence in their skills as a trainer, and will learn new training tools to use in a variety of contexts.
3. Participants will deepen their commitment to anti-oppression by exploring how we bring people into the movement, including building radical groups that have effective communication, structure and decision-making capacity.
