Tar Sands Action on the Ground & Moving Forward
Posted on September 3, 2011 | 2 CommentsThis action has shown an inspiring level of collaboration from a wide variety of organizations and individuals. But moving forward will require even greater acts of sustained resistance, including occupations without ending dates where wave after wave of people come together and do not back down until their demands for justice are met. -
Kathy’s Story from the Tar Sands Action
Posted on September 3, 2011 | 3 CommentsI had the opportunity to hear the stories of those who are actually living with the consequences of the pipeline: failing health, destroyed local economies, broken promises. Scott Adams’ green house of denial
Posted on August 23, 2010 | 1 CommentScott Adams, creator of “Dilbert”, recently wrote a piece in the Wall Street Journal entitled: How I (Almost) Saved the Earth. As I type, it is making the rounds on social networks, emails, and probably being talked about around the water coolers that Adams portrays in his iconic comic strip. Why is the article so popular? Does it speak some truth that needed a voice? Does it introduce a concept that furthers the discussion on environmentalism? No. It strikes a chord because it tells people what they want to hear. -
